A Brief History Of The Evolution Of Toto Asia

The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas and doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure that the future generations could read the words. Many words were substituted with foreign ones. For example dui, which was Bengali for verandah, was being used.

Incorporated in 1917, Toto's early years mirrored Japan's economic growth. In the early years of its existence, the company made goods to meet demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. To accomplish this, it employed the first tunnel kiln in the nation to produce ceramics in a continuous flow.  토토사이트  pioneered automation to allow production control, allowing greater efficiency and a more consistent production.

In the late 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to take advantage of sales and new markets. The company founded the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other products of other manufacturers to complement its own range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the firm’s global market share.

In the 1990s, Toto began focusing on research and development of water-related appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve its customers and boost profits. The company implemented a just-in-time approach to managing its supply chain and used the same method for its sales process. This resulted in a greater level of customer satisfaction.

Toto continued to innovate toilet technology. Its most recent toilet, for example, has an extremely powerful tornado flush that is more ecologically friendly than conventional toilets. The company makes use of recycled water for its manufacturing process and also has a green purchasing policy. Apart from toilets, Toto manufactures faucets and bathtubs and hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than conventional models.

The first Toto museum opened in 2015. It has exhibitions on the most iconic products of Toto as well as their evolution, group companies (all of which are ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products like bath units. In a separate gallery you can view Toto products that are sold across the world. The museum even has a bathroom that includes a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.

Before the formation of Toto members of the group did session work for various musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich, guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather as well as drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

It is common for a group with a name like Asia to be a prog rock group, but it is actually a fairly straight forward rock band. The group was formed as four members and released two albums: 1979's self-titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. Although the band have a variety of musical backgrounds, their biggest success was in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a massive blockbuster, but not without issues. Record companies put the band on the spot with the ultimatum "give us a hit record or we'll drop you" and the pressure was on to meet the deadline. Toto was able to do this feat with the help of the hit song "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery is a result of their prior experience in the music industry, as the band members were session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for '80s pop, and has influenced many modern artists.

The album opens up hard with tracks like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR tunes that slowly get into your head. The album also includes some more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song which combines folk and distortion AOR and sounds totally wrong, but works amazingly well.

After Toto IV The band's fortunes changed towards the negative. David Hungate left the band to focus on his solo career, and the band had a variety of drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio, which included Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.

Despite the turbulence, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation however, which was not as successful as IV. The group managed to release a chart-topping album, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked the end of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an ode to the classic sextet format and a more consistent, stronger effort that had a more grittier edge. The more edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the development of the group. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased ability to play was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's work was sharper, more intricate and less cloned previously recorded performances.

After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live performance in Amsterdam that was released as a set of two CDs entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released their new studio album a few months later, and went on a world tour to support the album. In this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.

In 1998, Paich & Lukather began searching through old tapes & demos to find songs that had never been recorded before. The album was released in 2001 and released as a double album called Then and Now. It was the first album by the band not to include one single track with the word "A" in the title, and it also contained one previously unreleased track, "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was an uncommercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that restricted his singing capabilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming duties were replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.

Downes and the other original members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened an event in England in the beginning of 2006 to discuss the possibility of officially restructuring the band. This lineup, minus Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time) was later referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also had an appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
